Russian Entrepreneur Offers ‘Immorality’ To Billionaires

Ever since time immemorial, mankind has tried hard to find the elixir to immortality. But to this day, immorality has been a myth and a mere fiction. Now, however, recent advancements in science may finally turn this fantasy into reality.

This may sound outlandish but the 31-year old Russian media entrepreneur, Itskov, is very confident that he will be able to achieve a certain degree of immorality through his hi-tech scientific research for the ‘Avatar’ project. Itskov has deployed a team of 30 scientists to make it happen within the next ten years.

However, all his efforts are geared towards commercial goals. For now, the option of being ‘immortal’ is available only to the notable billionaires. Itskov sent out a letter to the billionaires listed in Forbes magazine, offering them the opportunity to choose immortality. He didn’t disclose exactly what fees will he charge for the said offer but without a doubt, it would rake in billions.

The letter he sent out reads, “You have the ability to finance the extension of your own life up to immortality. Our civilization has come very close to the creation of such technologies: it’s not a science fiction fantasy. It is in your power to make sure that this goal will be achieved in your lifetime.”

Itskov plans to launch a concerted campaign on the social media to bring global attention to his project and attract scientists from around the world. While right now the project is meant for commercial gains, Itskov does suggest that such an immense achievement could turn out to be a very effective way to fight different diseases and old age. Imagine a person suffering from a life-taking disease, on the brink of death. In theory, at least, all that the project ‘Avatar’ would require is to take his brain and implant it in another Avatar.

According to Itskov, “For anyone interested, but skeptical, I am ready to prove the viability of the concept of cybernetic immortality by arranging an expert discussion with a team of the world’s leading scientist working in this field. I will also be willing to coordinate your personal immortality project entirely free of charge for the sake of speeding up the development of these technologies.”

Clearly, Itskov is very confident of the viability of his project and seems determined to turn what was one fiction and fantasy into today’s reality. The question is, how human will be after the ‘Avatar’ deployment which would be implanted with a human brain.
