Apple has staged somewhat of a coup in the fashion industry by bagging Paul Deneve, who had been the CEO of Yves Saint Laurent until quite recently. Deneve quit his job, initially citing that he was joining the high-tech industry. It now appears that he has been hired by Apple.
The French government had been investigating allegations of anti-competitive practices against Apple. As part of its ongoing investigations, the government competition authority recently launched a raid against Apple’s French headquarters and seized a number of documents.
For long, the rumor-mill has been claiming that Apple is readying a smartwatch which would be called ‘iWatch.’ Until now, Apple didn’t divulge even a single hint that such a project was underway. Now, however, the company has filed for the ‘iWatch’ trademark in Japan, which may show that Apple is serious in building such a product.
