Google’s Android Beats Nokia’s Symbian As Smartphone Kingpin

Google’s Android mobile operating system has finally opted the Symbian OS from Nokia from its top spot on the worldwide smartphone charts. According to the latest figures released by Canalys shipments of Android-based smartphones reached 32.9 million in Q4 2010, while Symbian ranked slightly below at 31 million.

Google Instant Preview Feature to iOS

As reported by 9to5mac, Google has begun testing a new feature for iOS browsers (and Android as well, we guess) which hasn’t been officially announced yet but was spotted by some users. The feature allows you to see a preview of the resulting website on a new pop-up browser visually. When you search any keyword on MobileSafari a magnifying glass will appear at the right hand side of every search. Tapping the magnifying glass will open a new browser that lets you navigate through the results visually.
