Microsoft Releases Security Pack To Fix 21 Vulnerabilities

On February 14th, Microsoft announced nine patches designed to correct 21 vulnerabilities, four of them considered critical by the security analysts. Among the patches delivered for the users is the security update filed under the MS12-010 codename, which addresses four Internet Explorer vulnerabilities. This patch is valuable for all the Explorer versions still in use, as the Microsoft’s popular browser is believed to be a preferred environment for many malware that use it to spread.

Customer Accounts Hacked In Recent Microsoft Store India Security Breach

A couple of days ago, a group of Chinese hackers operating under the name of Evil Shadow Team managed to take down the Indian Microsoft online store. The hackers’ spokesperson, hidden under the name 7z1 and considering himself/herself a “patriotic hacker” told Reuters that found unencrypted data on the website. The group posted on their official blog screenshots with the attacked website, but with obscured usernames and passwords of the Microsoft customers.

Chinese Hackers Attack Microsoft’s Indian Store

Hacker groups are quite busy making headlines these days. Apparently the Chinese group “Evil Shadow Team” decided it might be an act of extreme power and superiority if they would hack the Indian version of the Microsoft store www.microsoftstore.co.in. So they did it. They also posted a semi offensive message on the website that read: “unsafe system will be baptized”.
