Google+ Gets An API

Google+ developer advocate Chris Chabot announced that the first Google+ APIs are now available to the public and the complicated matter of circles and their varied level of permissions is an issue to be tackled at a later date. Developers need to register their apps before they can hook up with Google+ and start making calls to public feeds. There are a few different use cases where this could be employed and Google’s left it up to you guys to make it happen and this the only API available for the time being, but Google has mentioned they will be bringing many more Google+ APIs in the near future................

AT&T Foundry Innovation Center Is Opened

AT&T set up shop in Silicon Valley on Wednesday with its Foundry Development Center in Palo Alto, a facility where software and hardware developers can get help bringing their inventions to the real world, the site is AT&T's third Foundry Innovation Center, following ones opened earlier this year in Plano, Texas, and in Israel. The AT&T Foundry centers represent an $80 million investment from AT&T and it is part of the company's innovation strategy, which will see the 135-year-old communications giant work with third party developers, venture capitalists and technology solution providers................

Microsoft Windows Server 8 And Azure Platform Now Available For Developers

Microsoft is making available to testers preview versions of its Windows Server 8 and Microsoft is making available to testers a developer preview of Windows Server 8, the complement to its Windows 8 client. Microsoft says Windows Server 8 will be heavily influenced by its experience running Windows Azure, the cloud based operating system that Microsoft runs in its own data centers.
