LightSquared teams up with Sharp to begin production of LTE phones and tablets and these smartphones and tablets won’t be sold by the Falcone-backed company and will instead make their way to its carrier partners, like Sprint, C Spire and Best Buy. LightSquared will be showing off some of its devices at CTIA Enterprise and Applications conference on October 11-13 in San Diego and LightSquared inked a few major deals during the summer, starting in July when it announced a 15-year wholesale 4G LTE deal with Sprint……………….
Android Still King Of The US Smartphone Market
As Android continues to dominate U.S. smartphone market share month after month, a new report argues that this momentum will be the key to saving Motorola and it is that rapid growth and popularity which could be the key to save flagging Motorola Mobility, which was purchased last week, according to a new report from the NPD Group. Android currently holds 52 percent of the smartphone market as of the end of the second quarter of 2011 and there’s been some concern voiced about how Google might treat its other Android partners now that it has an actual device maker under in its tent, but NPD doesn’t think that’ll be a problem and Google has said publically that things wouldn’t change with its partners……………….
Exploit In iOS And Android Games Discovered By A 10 Year Old Girl Hacker At DEFCON
10-year-old girl discovers age old flaw in iOS and Android games, she discovered a zero day exploit in iOS and Android games that would allow her to speed time in game thus growing things faster. The 10 year old girl CyFi revealed this exploit at DefCon Kids and this zero day exploit is related to the clock in games which are used to measure the time it takes for a crop to grow, much like farmville. CyFi’s discovery has since been verified by independent security researchers and the exploit has been found to work in versions of games for both Apple and Android gadgets………….
