Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook
Acer has announced its first Ultrabook at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, the Aspire S3, is encased in a thin, light metal design, the vendor said. It is equipped with a full-size Acer FineTip chiclet keyboard and powered by a lightweight, high-density battery that delivers up to 7 hours of running time. The 13.3-inch ultra-thin HD LED display adopts an open cell design to conserve materials by using the lid and bezel to form an aluminum frame for the screen and Acer confirms it’ll arrive stateside by the end of September……………..

Sony announces market launch of Sony Tablet, two optimally designed android devices deliver portability, easy handling and an immersive entertainment experience. Available in mid to late September, the wedge-shaped Tablet S combines a 9.4-inch display with a Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and its design makes the Tablet S a bit bulky on its top end, the tablet’s odd shape also makes it easier to hold for long periods of time, as its weight is centered closer to the wrist. Samsung announced a new laptop line, adding the Series 7 to the existing Series 3 and Series 9 lines and also the new Series 7 has a super-thin metallic chassis, incredibly bright display and a hybrid storage system designed to make a regular hard disk act like an SSD. On the inside, users can get up to a Core i7 2675QM CPU clocked at 2.20GHz, up to 8GB of RAM, Radeon HD 6750M graphics, and a 750GB HDD spinning at 7200RPM and there’s an additional 8GB of flash memory mounted on the motherboard that helps shave boot times down to mere seconds using Sammy’s FastStart technology. The 14 inch notebook has a suggested retail price of $1,099 which makes it more expensive than a netbook, MacBook Air or an entry-level ultrabook and Samsung will also offer several Series 7 laptop models with 15.6 inch, 1600 x 900 pixel displays and Intel Core i7 chips…………….
World’s First 3D Game Conversion Engine For Smartphones
LG has rather predictably come to the rescue with the 3D Game Converter, an Open GL powered piece of software that allows you to switch 2D applications straight into 3D and the software is set to be included in the first maintenance release for the Optimus 3D, which will be pushed out around October time depending on the carrier. The engine can be used by developers to quickly and easily release 3D versions of their existing 2D games and it will end up providing customers with more content for their 3D-enabled hardware. The Optimus 3D will get the 3D Game Converter via an update scheduled for October and will be on display at IFA in Berlin and also will probably be running some 3D games………….

Samsung has officially announced LTE versions of the Galaxy SII and Galaxy Tab 8.9 ahead of their IFA debut and the Galaxy SII LTE adding the aforementioned LTE capabilities, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. The Tab remains otherwise unchanged, rocking the same 1200 x 800 screen and super-svelte (8.6mm thick) design and pricing, release dates, and regional availability are all still not known……………

LG’s New Nano LED backlit LW9800, Next Generation CINEMA 3D HDTVs
The Korea, LG Electronics (LG) tintroduced their newest development in home entertainment, the LW980S in Seoul. The LW980S is a topof-the-class TV that combines LG’s advanced CINEMA 3D technology, Smart TV functions and NANO FULL LED all in one sleek package. LG shows two sizes, 55- and 47-inches are feature “Nano LED” local dimming with as many as 2,300 sources in the larger one and 480Hz motion technology. This smart TV also features like Cinema 3D, Magic Motion gesture remote control and its Smart TV with built-in WiFi and lot more. Archos has a new pair emerging from Paris, 80 G9 and 101 G9 Android 3.1 tablets. The biggest differentiator between the two is the screen size, with the former offering an 8-inch panel with a 1024 x 768 screen resolution and the latter stepping up to a 10.1-incher (1280 x 800). The G9 range features the industry’s fastest dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, the largest storage capacity with a Seagate 250GB Hard Drive, Honeycomb 3.1, Android Market, 1080p HD video and 3G capability. The duo is scheduled to go on sale at the end of September with the 80 G9 going for $279 and the 101 G9 for $349………
