Apple Plans To Add iOS Sync Hubs To Genius Bars

Apple Store Genius Bar is known to have your device replaced shall your face any problem with your iDevice. However, users often have to take care of a lot of things before they attempt to do so. They have to create a backup, sometimes with Apple’s iCloud, and only then venture upon such a feat. Now, however, Apple is adding iOS Sync data hub, which will be a wireless service, to enable doing so right at the Genius Bar.

Backup is the most important thing you require to do before you go replace your device. Because once your Apple device is replaced, you are not going to get the data of your earlier device back. This has been somewhat of a qualm for users who had to somehow create a data backup before they could go visit an Apple Store Genius Bar.

To help the users with this, and to make the experience of visiting a Genius Bar far more enjoyable, Apple has plans of adding a wireless data hub to the Bar. How will this change things? Well, once this really is introduced at the locations, you will be able to walk right into a Genius Bar, backup your data at the Genius Bar, have a new device and re-sync all of your data into the new device.

This will be immensely useful to Apple users and will ensure a speedier replacement process for the users. Plus, you no longer will have to be away from your data longer. You won’t require to first sync it at your Mac at home, then go have your replaced and then come back to re-sync data. You can perform all these requisite actions right at the Genius Bar.

9to5mac is reporting that such iOS Sync hubs will most probably be introduced at Apple Store Genius Bars by mid-2013 as a beta run. A full scale launch of the feature is expected to be in place by the end of 2013.
