AT&T’s Digital Life Home Automation Service Slated For March Release

A number of home automation solutions have cropped up in recent years. Each of them tends to focus on a specific aspect of automation – some concentrate on security, others help you adapt an energy-efficient lifestyle and so on. AT&T also has a solution of its own which, it has now announced, will be released in March this year.

AT&T Digital LifeSM

Dubbed AT&T Digital LifeSM, this home automation system offers a wide range of functionality and convenience. You can ensure the security of your home, keep an eye on the energy usage of different appliances and also remotely keep tabs on what’s going on in the house.

The best part is that you don’t essentially have to be an AT&T customer to avail the new service. The system works equally fine with Android, iOS or Windows Phone devices, says the wireless carrier. It pairs up nicely with smartphones, tablets and PCs and that is certainly an enticing aspect.

AT&T has announced during CES 2013 that by March, it hopes to bring Digital LifeSM to eight markets. According to the senior Vice President of AT&T Digital Life, Kevin Petersen, “T&T Digital Life is a game-changing wireless centric home security and automation experience with its unique integration and an intuitive app to control every feature from your smartphone, tablet or PC.”

Kevin further said, “Combined with AT&T’s wireless network and unparalleled distribution channels, Digital Life will offer exciting new innovation. We can’t wait to get it into the hands of our customers.”
