Black Friday Kindle Sales Tripled In UK, Most Users Placed Online Orders Through iOS Devices

Every year, the numbers from Black Friday sales indicate which brands and products are the most popular among the consumers. Whereas we don’t have exact Black Friday figures yet, Amazon has claimed that the sale of its Kindle devices in UK during the shopping spree tripled compared to last year.

Kindle Fire

The increased interest of consumers in Amazon’s Kindle devices is not a surprise. The company brought down the price of its Kindle Fire tablet to $159 in anticipation of Black Friday, a move which may have triggered the record high sales.

According to the Vice President of Kindle EU, “Customers purchased more than three times as many Kindle devices on Black Friday than on any other day in its history onĀ Amazon.co.uk, and our previous record was impressive.”

Amazon further announced that the discounts on its Kindle devices will continue until the midnight on November 26. So if you were planning to get a great price for a Kindle e-reader or a Kindle Fire tablet, now is the best time of the year.

Online orders through iPhone and iPad:
The influence of iPhone and iPad in the smartphone and tablet markets is undeniable. iPhone is undoubtedly the most popular smartphone whereas iPad continues to be the sweetheart of the tablet market. This was manifest, yet again, during the Black Friday sale season.

Mobile shopping

According to the data gathered by IBM, most users placed online shopping orders using iPhone and iPad. To be exact, nearly 18.5% of the online shopping transactions were performed using either of these two devices.

The data that has been used to dish out this analysis has been gathered from more than a million transactions made with the top 500 U.S. retailers.
