HTC has fix EVO 4G screen sensitivity

HTC is now finished working for EVO 4G screen sensitivity….

We’ve just been tipped off on a couple feel-good items for EVO 4G owners that should end your Friday on a bright note:
1.The glass separation issues are real, but said to be super minor and have no effect on the usability of the phone apart from a nearly imperceptible “give” to the touch. That said, HTC has made some assembly changes that should reduce or eliminate the problem going forward, and it’ll keep an eye on the situation.
2.This is really interesting: the screen sensitivity problems are also real and are apparently far more prevalent in arid climates, but it can be fixed with a software patch alone. That patch will be rolling out to EVOs soon.

This two changes is now we can see in EVO 4G.

  • I have had two Evo's - the first one (before I dropped and shattered it) was great. Normal sensitivity. Replacement phone that I recently received is too sensitive. I constantly am removing icons. I hope that they push this fix soon.

    • I can't tell you how many people I have butt dialed. also sent emails, and a new one today, put the phone in airplane mode, all while in my pocket with no hands.........amazing IT SUCKS
just covered the screen with two layers of tape, hoping that would help. Trying to hold off on buying an iPhone 5 for $500.......OUCH

  • I don't know if this is a sensitivity issue - I doubt it - but on a couple of occasions I have been unable to unlock the phone because the password keyboard doesn't appear, then when the phone power button is pressed twice, the slider won't move down.  The phone is not frozen because I can initiate calls using my car bluetooth, and the clock is updating.
