Evernote has run into a number of troubles lately, something which is probably an outcome of rapidly expanding its product offerings. Now, the company’s CEO Phil Libin has promised to improve Evernote services during 2014.

The glaring problems in Evernote’s ever-expanding line of services were recently highlighted in an article by Jason Kincaid. The article went viral on the social media, leading other Evernote users to express similar frustration and disappointment. The key issues which have attracted user’s contentions are Evernote’s privacy options and the stability of its apps.

The good thing is that Libin has responded timely to the debate, stating that not only did he read the Kincaid’s piece about Evernote but also agreed to it, “I could quibble with the specifics, but reading Jason’s article was a painful and frustrating experience because, in the big picture, he’s right. We’re going to fix this.”

He further assures that the company has all plans of solving these problems during 2014, particularly focusing on enhancing the stability of the apps and simplifying their design. Libin admits that since the company decided to dish out redesigned apps for iOS 7, the change resulted in stability issues for many users. In his own words, “We gained many new users, but rushing to completely rebuild the app for the new platform resulted in stability problems that disproportionally hit longer-term customers, including ourselves.”

Nonetheless, it is good to note that Evernote is well aware of the issue and is resolved to take care of the problems with its apps during the current year.
