Get Free Shipping To India For Purchases Above $125 In Amazon

Given the fact that the Christmas is just around the corner, both offline and online retailers are gearing up for the record sales season of the year. Apparently, as part of the preparations for the hot-sales weekend, Amazon is now offering its Indian customers free shipping on purchases above $125.

Amazon

The slight catch, though, is that the offer does not apply to all Amazon products. Rather, the AmazonGlobal Saver Shipping is available with a limited number of items. If you add items to your cart on Amazon, you will be able to see whether or not a given item is eligible on the page which displayed the estimated delivery date.

Another way of finding such items which are eligible for free shipping is to simply navigate to one of the product categories that Amazon has. Once you click on the category list, you will be able to see an ‘International Shipping, AmazonGlobal Eligible’ button on the left column of the screen.

Hit the button and you’ll be able to see all those products in that category which are eligible for the international free shipping. Another slight catch is that although your order will incur no shipment charges, you may have to pay custom and import duties once they arrive in India. The duty usually varies between 0% and 30% of the original price of the article and is mentioned, in detail, by Amazon while you are placing the order.

Another limitation is that you can’t place an order which weighs more than 20 pounds. However, that still means that most of the cool tech gadgets are up for grabs on Amazon this Christmas if you are ordering out of India.
