Leaked Slides Report Refreshes In BlackBerry PlayBook And Curve

RIM has been undergoing some major overhaul, both in it’s structure and it’s products. BGR recently claimed that it gained access to some RIM slides which reveal the company’s roadmap for the year 2012. According to the slides, RIM may launch Playbook with some major overhauls which include a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and many other new features. The leaked slides also speak about the Curve devices that are expected to be released by RIM soon. The devices will have a dedicated BBM button, a 2.44 inch display with a resolution 320*240 and 512 MB of RAM as well as storage.

According to BGR, the slides include references to the Curve device, 9320, which will feature FM Radio and HSPA. For those who are looking for a EDGE 2G set by RIM, 9220 will be just that. These devices which are expected to be launched sometime in the third quarter of 2012 may also include a Wireless Media Server, one like AirPlay. This will enable users to stream media to other devices wirelessly.

The release date for these devices have been put at September or October by these slides. With RIM already facing a number of difficulties, we can hope that these devices may be somewhat of a salvation for the company. But that, of course, will depend on the fact that whether or not these devices turn out to be a success in the increasingly competent smartphone market.
