Steve Sinofsky Leaves Microsoft, Larson-Green Takes Over All Things Windows

A number of major managerial changes have been made at Microsoft. Steve Sinofsky, who has long lead the Windows division and even recently launched Windows 8 and Surface tablets under his command, has left the company. And his place has been taken up by Julie Larson-Green.

Julie Larson-Green

Julie Larson-Green is not new to Microsoft. She has been at the company for nearly two decades now and is very well aware of the different Windows-related products. Although Sinofsky has been leading the Windows President at Microsoft for a long while, Larson-Green has also been a VP in Windows.

So she does know the ups and downs of the Windows-related teams and knows well how to handle them. What is somewhat surprising, though, is that Sinofsky left the company before even seeing how his Windows 8 bore fruit.

On a parting note, he said, “It is impossible to count the blessings I have received over my years at Microsoft. I am humbled by the professionalism and generosity of everyone I have had the good fortune to work with at this awesome company.”

However, taking over the position of Windows President is certainly a significant challenge for Larson-Green since Sinofsky has been so long at the helm of the ship that many of us had come to identify him with Windows itself. Nonetheless, given her professional background and her skills, we do expect that she can do very well in steering Windows 8 and the new hardware that the company has shipped, to success.

This woman knows diddly jack shit about developing software. Ballmer is pushing out anyone that is threat. And they need a scapegoat for the next round of EU highway-robbery that’s about to happen. Microsoft, it’s CEO and it’s board have been utterly clueless since the release of Windows 95.

Well, it could hardly get any worse than Sinofsky, who was responsible for derailing Microsoft’s Messenger Tablet, which was ready before Crapple’s iPad, and actually was a good value / usefulness proposition in comparison to the shit he just foisted on us.

Like at Microsoft, where he knifed everyone and did his best to turn M$ employees into his mindless drones, he was playing up as the big master, while trying to look like the ‘humble’ guy.

So he comes to your house in the form of Windows 8 and wants to be dictator there too, instead of the obsequious butler he should be.

I say good riddance, If Julie really doesn’t know, she’ll probably spend the time to find out, and God knows, we could use someone at Microcruft who actually bothers to listen to customer’s needs once in a while, instead of blindly executing some pie-in-the-sky corporate tollbooth strategy they want in place yesterday.
