Lovestagram Launched By Instagram Co-Founder’s Girlfriend As Valentine’s Day Gift

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and while everyone is thinking of gifting someone awesome to that special someone who’d be their Valentine, some have really creative ideas. Kaitlyn Trigger, who is the girlfriend of Instagram co-founder, Mike Krieger, is launching Lovestagram. This is an interactive card-marker for Valentine’s day which uses the same API used by Instagram.

Lovestagram lets you create a slideshow of all the Instagram photos that you and your beloved shared. All you have to do is log into your account and name the other person who is obviously your to-be Valentine. You get to have a degree of customization in selecting the photos that go into this ‘card’ that you create for your loved one. However, for now all cards are heart-themed, so there’s an essential romantic aspect to this.

However, Trigger has said that after the success of Lovestagram, she would expand it to include the capabilities of producing cards for other purposes such as anniversaries, friendship etc.The whole concept is simply to develop a chronology of photos that are shared between two people. According to Trigger, “It basically lets you look through your relationship in photos.”

Trigger has been working on this app for more than six months. She wanted to keep it hidden from her boyfriend and present it to him as a gift but eventually, she had to seek his help for some coding bugs. Still, though, her boyfriend hasn’t been aware that Trigger was developing this app until, of course, now. This Valentine’s Day, don’t forget to check the app and let us know how did you find it.
