Microsoft Opening First Canadian Retail Store In Toronto On November 16

Microsoft announced the date of opening of its first Canadian retail store. The company set November 16 as the opening date. The retail store is located at Yorkdale Centre in Toronto. The store is not only Microsoft’s first retail store in Canada but also is one of its first international retail stores. Establishing the first retail store in Canada is a part of Microsoft’s retail business expansion plan.

The world’s largest software maker (measured by revenues) already has 23 retail stores in U.S. and the company will open another 21 retail stores in U.S. by June 2013. Microsoft’s retail stores only sell its own branded software, hardware as well as Windows smartphones, laptops and desktops.
