Nokia Lumia 800 is receiving the much-anticipated software update, the Windows Phone 7.8. It is being said that after update Lumia 800 will mirror the user interface of the Windows Phone 8.
Dutch site WP7.nlis has reported that Nokia has started rolling out the update of Lumia 800 to Windows Phone 7.8 through the Zune desktop software. Very soon Nokia Lumia 800 users may receive a certain “Nokia update.” Then users have to download four updates. After completing downloads, users will see a newfangled splash screen, customization options and Xbox Tile (among numerous other changes) etc.
It is being hoped that Nokia will integrate support for sharing multimedia files via Bluetooth along with a few UI tweaks in the Contacts Transfer functionality inside the new update. Though Windows Phone 7.8 update does not sport the Windows NT ‘DNA’ but the revamped of old-generation mobile OS is like giving a second life to older Windows Phone 7 devices.
It is still unclear which country is going to be the first to get a taste of the new firmware.
