Apple’s new generation communication service iMessage and FaceTime were experiencing outages for some users yesterday. But good thing is they made it up and are running normally once again. It seems like, the outage did not affect everyone. But some users experienced the issue when they tried to communicate using iMessage and/or FaceTime.
iMessage is Apple’s messaging platform and FaceTime is the company’s proprietary live video chat service that works between iOS and OS X users. According to Apple, iMessage users were sending more than 2 billion messages a day on the service.
Apple’s system status page showed that users failed to place FaceTime calls and sending/receiving iMessages between 3:11 p.m. ET and 8:20 p.m. ET. While facing trouble users are found sharing their experience through Twitter. They celebrated when the service was back on track. Still, we have no idea what was the reason behind the outage.
