Real Tiny Snake Found On A Plane, Force Emergency Landing In Sydney

Remember the movie “Snakes On A Plane” where after the plane takes off, a lot of venomous snakes started to come out from the cargo and spread all over the plane? Well that was a movie only, but this time a real tiny snake was found on a plane for which the plane was forced to emergency landing in Sydney.

Snake On A Plane

A Qantas Boeing 747 airliner took off in air along with 370 passengers. After a long time, a plane staff noticed an 8-inch (20 cm) long tiny snake in the passenger cabin near the door and informed the pilot. As no one was sure whether or not the snake was venomous, the pilot decided to take the plane to the ground for passengers’ safety. After describing the entire scenario to the Sydney International Airport, the airport authority gave the permission to take down the plane at the airport.

After the plane lands, the airline passengers were accommodated in hotels overnight and left Sydney on a replacement plane Monday morning. On the other side, quarantine officials took the snake for analysis.

The Australian government did not name the type of snake or say how it might have got aboard the plane which had flown to Sydney from Singapore.
