Samsung’s tablets haven’t been a major success by any measure. In the face of Apple’s iPad and Kindle Fire, Samsung Galaxy Tab has failed to leave a significant mark on the tablet market. But apparently, that is not to dampen the spirits of the Korean electronics giant. Samsung has now announced Galaxy Tab 2, a 7-inch tablet which will be tooling Android 4.0. The company has decided not to update the original Samsung Galaxy Tab to Ice Cream Sandwich.
So what specifications will this new version of Samsung’s tablet will pack? Galaxy Tab 2 comes with 1 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB of RAM. You get to have three options for internal storage include space of 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB. The internal storage space can be further expanded through microSD card.
The display is 1024*600 PLS LCD Display. This is not bad of course but definitely not impressive. The tablet also has an unimpressive 3-megapixel camera in the rear and a VGA cam at the front. The connectivity supported by Galaxy Tab 2 is optional quad-band HSPA+. The tablet also has support for wi-fi and Bluetooth.
The tablet will be released worldwide real soon, so you can lay your hands on it if you are one of the ardent Samsung fans. For the UK users, we do know that the release date is in March.
