Although there are no more Harry Potter books to come or movies to release, the fanfare of the franchise continues worldwide. Potter fans have been waiting for J.K. Rowling to announce something about the series which she did, with the launch of Pottermore, an interactive online world of Potter fun. The site has been in its beta earlier but the good news now are that it is open to everyone now!
The wait has been quite long for Harry Potter fans. That is because Pottermore accepted pre-launch applications and was able to go live with one millions users as a beta run. The limited-audience beta run lasted for quite some time, since August last year up till now.
The full-scale launch of the venture was promised to be in October last year but had to be delayed. Now, though, it has finally been announced on the website that Pottermore is open to everyone.
Sony is an official partner of the venture and is precisely the company that made it all happen, together with Rowling. Naturally, Sony’s ‘make.believe’ logo gels in well with this interactive world of Harry Potter which we all are very eager to see.
