Lenovo today announced the commercial launch of its new Moto G smartphone, Moto G Plus and Moto G Play around the globe including North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific starting from summer.

Google and Samsung have had their differences at times but the two have been the key players in the Android arena. In that context, it is no surprise that both companies have signed a 10-year patent licensing agreement.

Motorola's top-end Android handset, Moto X, is up for sale again and the new discount makes it probably the best Android purchase right now. The special sale will be open for only an hour on Monday, Jan 27, during which the handset will cost a mere $299.

Motorola recently took the smartphone industry by a storm when it unveiled its $179 Moto G smartphone. The company's CEO Dennis Woodside says that Motorola may soon push for ever cheaper smartphones in the future.

Verizon has already confirmed that it going to offer Motorola's Moto G smartphone to its prepaid customers in 2014, but so far it hasn't revealed any more info than that. But lately, Best Buy has confirmed that it will start selling the Moto G on Verizon network for $99.99 with no contract.
