Every now and then car makers are trying to bring spectacular cars incorporated with high tech facilities. Now their vision is to bring the concept of futuristic cars. But German car maker Audi has adopted an anomal way to unveil its concept car. Lately, the company has been designing a futuristic sedan called the Fleet Shuttle Quattro for the upcoming sci-fi film ‘Ender’s Game.’
Audi is the very first German company which has designed a real futuristic car for a sci-fi film. Audi has specifically designed the “purely virtual” car to suit the look and feel of the film. The Fleet Shuttle Quattro features an aerodynamic, nearly flat top and wing-like doors that flap open.
While making the design of Fleet Shuttle Quattro, Audi design staff collaborated with the films’ director Gavin Hood to make sure the look and technological level of the car was appropriate for the time the story takes place.
Frank Rimili, the chief designer for the concept car said, “Designing the Audi Fleet Shuttle Quattro was similar to customizing a tailor-made suit. We adapted it to the requirements of the world in ‘Ender’s Game’ and, at the same time, ensured that we preserved our brand values. Ultimately, we were able to project our design philosophy perfectly onto the fictional world of the movie.” He also said that the car “combines futuristic design with groundbreaking technology.”
But Audi hasn’t shared any spoilers of what technology features or capabilities the Fleet Shuttle Quattro will demonstrate in the film. However, the movie Ender’s Game will be released in theater on Nov. 1. So to see the Fleet Shuttle Quattro’s real performance, you have wait till then. For now, here’s the official final trailer of Ender’s Game.
