After releasing a Java update to fix a vulnerability that allowed hackers to access the computers of Apple employees and iOS 6.1.2 with fix for Exchange calendar bug, yesterday on February 19 afternoon, Apple released an updated version of iTunes, 11.0.2. Version 11.0.2 comes with a new Composers view for music and other improvements.
This is the second update to iTunes 11. However, iTunes 11.0.2 is a minor update that address numerous bug fixes and adds the ability to sort music by Composer. The update specifically promises to improve “responsiveness” when handling large playlists. Various other performance enhancements are also included.
About iTunes 11.0.2, Apple said, “This update adds a new Composer view for music, improves responsiveness when syncing playlists with a large number of songs, and fixes an issue where purchases may not show up in your iTunes library. This update also includes other stability and performance improvements.”
Users can download the latest version of iTunes 11.0.2 directly from Apple’s site. Mac users can download this 54.2 MB update by clicking “Updates” tab in the Mac App Store.
