Umeox Smartphones And Tablets Hands-On at MWC

Umeox is a little known mobile device producer with big plans. It was founded back in 2003 when Mr. Shap Guoguang and Mr. Iau Xiangnong met and decided to start a business together. Now Umeox has production facilities both in Shenzen and Shunde (China).

What’s special about Umeox and that they are among the few mobile manufacturers in the world who actually don’t need to relay on any out-door suppliers for the production of their mobile phones. That’s right they take care of everything, you name it: R&D, MT design, Tooling, SMT or Assembly lines.

With the World Mobile Congress under way, the company had to do something to impress the European crowd, in the hopes that it might come to penetrate its market. So, meet the Umeox X-Land – a 3G phone which comes packed with some to say the least, some incredible capabilities. Umeox is also famous for releasing one of the most eco-friendly phones to date. This is a phone with solar features which takes about 2.5 hours of sunlight in order to completely recharge its battery after daily use. This dives also comes pack with quite a bit of goodies: a 3.2” 320 x 480 display, 1GB of internal storage, FM radio, 3 megapixel rear camera and a 3.5mm audio jack.
