Mr. Postman Launches Kickstarter Campaign For The Smart And Secure Mailbox

Mr. Postman, the smart mailbox that can be controlled via Wi-Fi and sends regular updates to an app on your smartphone, has now launched a Kickstarter campaign. Pledging $180 will get you this next-generation mailbox.

Mr. Postman

Mr. Postman is fairly amazing and has already made quite a few headlines. It participated in the notable ‘Insert Coin: New Challengers‘ contest and qualified to the semi-finals. Now, as we move towards the conclusion of the year, the team behind Mr. Postman aims to turn the idea into an actual product.

Compared to a regular, conventional mailbox, Mr. Postman is certainly brilliant. It is a smart mailbox, connecting to your smartphone through an app. The mailbox itself is Wi-Fi enabled so that you can remotely lock or unlock it. Moreover, whenever a new package arrives in the mailbox, it alerts you through the app so that you are notified about it straight on your smartphone.

Similarly, when you put a package in the mailbox to be picked and taken by the post man, the mailbox alerts as soon as the package is picked. To make things even better, the smart mailbox is solar-powered, which means that you don’t have to fuss about plugging it into a power source to keep up the wireless messages from it.

The Kickstarter campaign launched to crowdsource funds for Mr. Postman aims to hit the $50,000 target. Within three days, it has already amassed nearly $6,000 in pledges. You can grab an early-bird offer for the whole package of Mr. Postman, the black version of the mailbox, by pledging only $180.
