Electronic Arts has finally released the Battlefield 3: Aftershock game for iOS users. The game has been released for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users who can get it absolutely free. However, the game seems to be in some kind of a beta version and has limited gameplay options. You can, however, choose to play as a single player or with multi-player option. The download link for the game is given below.
According to Electronic Arts, the game comes with excellent graphics, optimized specially for iOS devices. While we didn’t have a chance of checking out the touted graphics on an iPad device, the screen shots on the app page do seem pretty impressive.
Once you start with the game play, you are provided 4 weapons by default. You can also unlock a fifth weapon, which is a bonus weapon, by continuing with the game play. The game requires iOS 4.0 or a later iOS to play, so it can be conveniently played on all iPhone and iPad devices as well as the iPod Touch.
However, thing may not be actually as rosy as they seem. The reviews that are propping up on the app page don’t seem to paint a very good picture of the game play. Some of them are blaming the game for being too basic, feeling more like a beta version with very few weapons and no options of buying any new weapons. A user has also pointed out that MC3 and MC2 controls are entirely missing in the game which makes it quite annoying to tackle the game play. Nonetheless, you can always give a free game one shot.
