And after all the waiting moments and anticipations, here are the good news. Pod2g and his excellent dream team which comprised of some of the top iOS hackers, have finally cracked the A5 chip problem. They have accomplished an untethered jailbreak on iPhone 4S. Although the jailbreak has been accomplished, it will be available publicly a few days later. Read further to watch a video demo of the iPhone 4S untethered jailbreak.
To remind our readers, an untethered jailbreak is a jailbreak that doesn’t require an external reboot. In a tethered jailbreak, you have to boot the iPhone from an external device every time you restart it. But in an untethered jailbreak, this is not needed. Every time you reboot the device, it is jailbroken.
Pod2g released the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4 a few days ago and had been working on one for iPhone 4S. The untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S also means that it will also work for iPad 2. In his latest blog post, he posted a video about iPhone 4S untethered jailbreak. The video posted below has been captured by Pod2g’s friend and a very notable iOS hacker @DHowett.
