To flash the iPad 06.15 baseband on iPhone 3G(S) on iOS 4.2.1, iPhone Dev Team has just released new Redsn0w 0.9.6 b5 that fetches the baseband files directly from Apple.Redsn0w b5 can jailbreak and update iPhone 3GS & 3G baseband to 06.15.00 so that it can be unlocked using the newly released Ultrasn0w 1.2.
Simply you will have to select the “Install iPad Baseband Option” if you are interested in unlock.After the jailbreak, search for Ultrasnow in Cydia store and get unlocked your iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G on iOS 4.2.1.

Well it’s Christmas and no untethered jailbreak…
Backup plan is useless without the 4.2b3 SHSH hashes. No tutorial found anywhere to explain how to do it, or where to get 4.2b3.
My plan is to restore to Apple spec. Cydia really doesn’t offer that much anyway unless you are making your device a pocket computer.
What is the advantage of having an 6.5 iPad baseband on the iphone 3G S ?
