Enable / Disable Animated Boot Logo in GreenPois0n RC5[How To]

Chronic Dev Team has already released Greenpois0n RC5 to apply untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1 to all idevices. Greenspoison rc5 supports these idevices – iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G. On the other hand Second version GreenPois0n RC5_2 has also released which contains many bug fixes but still the animated boot logo issue was not solved.

A method has released to enable/disable animated boot logo in greenpois0n RC5. Here is the method by which you can disable / enable custom animated boot logo.

1. Make sure your iDevice has successfully jailbroken with GreenPois0n RC5_2.

2. Download the “ animate ”.

3. Now, connect to SSH in your device and copy the file downloaded in step 2 to the location / usr / bin / .

4. Change the file permissions to 755.

5. Reboots the device.

6. That’s it, you’re done.

To disable the animated backgrounds, instead, simply remove the file “animated” file the directory in the step 3.

    No, that shit requires WinterBoard installed. This SSH is faster and easier to do than that useless software

    ya i did the permissions wrongly when i 1st packaged it… it has been fixed in 1.0-1 for some time now. latest version is 1.0-2.

    ok then how do u remove the bootloader option that now shows up under iphone settings? its there to allow you to switch but i dont want it on the settings panel…

    Hi, i think there is a easy way which is just install from cydia for the “animate” file. Restart and the skeleton will be gone
