Apple unveiled its latest iPhone 5 on September 12. The latest iPhone will start shipping from September 21 in UK. Contract details for U.S. consumers were revealed on September 12; and now comes the pricing details for UK consumers.
Consumers will be able to get iPhone 5 on contract from £25 per month through Vodafone, with an initial payment of £249. If consumers go for 2-year contract, then they will get the iPhone 5 (16GB) absolutely free and they will have to pay £47 each month. This is the best package of Vodafone where consumers will get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 2 GB of internet each month. If consumers prefer to go on 1-year contract, then their facilities and monthly bill would be as following.
Except for the monthly plan of £47 for 2-year contract, consumers will also get the following plans for 2-year contract (for 16GB iPhone 5).
Like Vodafone, consumers will be able to get 16GB iPhone 5 absolutely free along with a monthly bill of £46 or £51, if they sign 2-year contract with Orange. Orange is offering 2-year contract only. By signing 2-year contract, consumers will get 3GB internet data (for £46 monthly plan) or unlimited data (for £51 monthly plan), unlimited calls and unlimited texts for 16GB iPhone 5. Except these two, Orange is offering the following plans.
T-Mobile is not offering iPhone 5 for free, but like Orange, the company has 2-year contract plan only. For 16GB iPhone 5, the upfront cost is £109. Their monthly plans cost £36, £41, £46 and £61. No matter what monthly plan customers choose, they will get unlimited internet, unlimited calls and unlimited texts. Here’s is T-Mobile’s full plan.
Three UK, like Orange and T-Mobile, is offering 2-year contract plans only. For the 16GB iPhone 5 along with £79 upfront cost, consumers have to pay either £36 per month or £34 per month. With the £36 monthly plan, consumers will get unlimited internet, 2000 minutes (for any network), 5000 texts and 5000 Three-to-Three minutes. On the other side, with the £34 monthly plan, consumers will get unlimited internet, 500 minutes (for any network) and 5000 texts. Below are the plans.
