Owners of a rooted GSM HTC One who have been dying to get a complete taste of vanilla Android are in luck, as custom ROMs built off of the Google Play Edition HTC One are now popping up on the web. In short, this is a rooted and deodexed version of exactly what comes on the GPE HTC One devices found on Google Play.
The folks over at XDA Developers have rolled out a new Google Edition ROM that will target only GSM HTC One owners. It runs that same stock Android 4.2.2 and has the updated camera app.
If you’ve got a GSM HTC One, you can now flash a ROM that will largely transform your phone into the experience you’d get from the new Google Play edition.
