Orange UK has unveiled the Orange branded smartphone devices San Francisco which is powered by the Android OS.The smartphone is meant to capture the local market, targeting budgeted customers.San Francisco runs the Android 2.1 Operating System and offers wide access to applications, opening the user doors for Android Marketplace exposing them to over 200,000 applications.
The new Orange San Francisco combined with Orange’s pay as you go Dolphin tariff makes the San Francisco an affordable PAYG handset commanding a price tag of just £99.00, and is also available on contract.
The Orange San Francisco offer the user a 3 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, MP3 player, FM radio, 3G, 150MB internal memory and microSD expansion up to 32GB, Android 2.1, Orange Maps, Orange Messenger via Windows Live, Email, Orange Wednesdays and Orange App Store.
The new Orange San Francisco smartphone measures 116 x 56.5 x 11.8mmm with a weight of 130 grams and is available as of this week from Orange telesales, Orange stores and Orange online.
