The User Interface Of A Future Facebook Smartphone [Concept]

The tech world is very creative in that it keeps churning newer products, ideas and notions every single day. And when its not something that is very tangible, it is at least a concept that is presented by designers. We reported earlier that Facebook had hired a number of ex-Apple employees in what seems to be an attempt to launch a smartphone of its own next year. You must have wondered what this smartphone may look like.

As soon as this bit of news his the online tech world, it caused quite a bit of a flurry. While it is understandable that Facebook wants to launch a smartphone because it now has a lot of investors to bring back profits to and the company may be feeling some heat of this pressure; the more important question is, and the one that the critics have been asking, can such a device be successful.

In the past, we have seen devices which are somehow limited in their approach, to be failures. A potential Facebook smartphone will also probably be centered around the experience of using Facebook. In fact, Facebook will be right at the heart of such a smartphone.

Now, a designer based in New York, Jay Moon, has presented a concept for Facebook smartphone’s user interface. The images that he has procured to this end show that Facebook is embedded deep into the OS of the device. Naturally enough, a notifications and messages icon sits squarely at the top of the screen, which probably is going to be a definite part of a Facebook smartphone.

However, as much as this purported user interface seems attractive, Facebook will still have to present a smartphone which offers much more than Facebook, to entice the customers.
