If you have been waiting for Samsung’s Windows Phone 8 entry in the U.S., then you don’t need to wait anymore. Verizon has announced that Samsung’s 4-inch Windows Phone handset Ativ Odyssey will be available from January 24.
Ativ Odyssey is the very first Windows Phone 8 from Samsung in the U.S. This Windows Phone 8 device was supposed to release last December, but anyhow it wasn’t released then; it is finally being released in the U.S. today. The Ativ Odyssey weighs 125 gram (4.41 oz) and is measures 4.82-inch x 2.51-inch x 0.43-inch (122 mm x 64 mm x 11 mm). The phone features a 4.0-inch 800 x 480 pixels WVGA Super AMOLED display, 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, 5-megapixel camera, 2100 mAh battery. The phone will be available on Verizon’s network from Thursday, Jan. 24. The phone will come at a price of $49.99 with a two-year contract after a $50 mail in rebate. You have to cough up $100 up front. Here’s a video of the phone.
