Dell has taken a great liking to Windows 8 and Dell personnel have proclaimed publicly that they may be going forward with Windows 8 tablets. While currently, Dell is not at all a success in the tablet market, it is hoping to leverage some advantage with the great interface Windows 8 has to offer. Two images have now surfaced on the web, allegedly of Windows 8 tablets from Dell.
The two tablets which the images show are Dell XPS 12 and Dell Latitude 10. Both come equipped with fairly good specs, if the images are to be taken as correct.
XPS 12 is said to be somewhat of a convertible tablet with a 12.5 inch Gorilla glass display. The image doesn’t reveal much about this tablet except that it is about 1.4 kg in weight and supports a machine aluminum and carbon fiber chassis.
On the other hand, the details allegedly leaked about Dell Latitude 10 are many and one gets to have a fairly good idea about its specifications. For instance, the tablet is a 10-inch machine which will be tooling Intel Clover Trial dual core Atom processor and has 2GB of RAM along with option of up to 128GB for hard drive.
Moreover, Latitude 10 has a battery of 12 hours, an impressive number. While both these images do point to a Windows 8 tablet, we can’t yet point out whether or not they are real. Dell hasn’t officially issued a statement about it. However, it seems reasonable that if Dell indeed wants to launch Windows 8 tablet at the debut of the OS, which is due in June, it must have completed most of the relevant work.
