Apple has been rather shy in revealing availability and pre-order details about its two new slates, namely the iPad Air and the iPad Mini with Retina display. Nonetheless, multiple reports suggest that iPad Air will go on sale on November 1. Not only that, the pre-orders for iPad Mini with Retina display will also be launched on the same day.
iPad Air:
iPad Air will be available for purchase starting from Friday, November 1. Apple will make the slate available for purchase both online and in-store. Even if you wish to get your tablet in-store, you can avail the option of placing your order online. Typically, customers line up in front of Apple retail stores in order to be among the first to purchase the new offering.
In the case of iPad Air, all you need to do is wait for Apple’s online store to start offering the slate at midnight Pacific Time before Nov 1. Once you place the order online, you will be able to pick it later in any of Apple retail stores closest to you.
iPad Mini with Retina:
The second big offering from Apple this time of the year of the Retina-equipped iPad Mini. Again, Apple didn’t provide a solid date for the tablet’s availability, although the official site does state that the slate will be made available some time in November. Rumor has it that coinciding with the availability of iPad Air, the pre-orders for Retina iPad Mini will go live on November 1. Once the pre-orders go live, we can expect the slate to hit the shelves within the next 1 to 2 weeks.
