Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 Powered By Windows 8 May To Compete With iPad

This June at Computex Taipei, Lenovo had shown off its flagship Windows 8 tablet called ThinkPad Tablet 2 and now FCC has approved this tablet. Recently some documents has been leaked about this tablet. Theverge claimed that a tipster has sent to them about this leaked documents. The documents suggest that ThinkPad Tablet 2 will be focused on iPad business users.

The ThinkPad Tablet 2 is powered by Windows 8. It is equipped with a dual-core Intel Clover Trail processor, a 10.1-inch WXGA display, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage. The company said that it will be hard to compete to Apple’s app store. For this reason, Lenovo has changed its business strategy. Now Lenovo is making a position for its Tablet 2 as a competitor to Apple’s iPad on the business side.

The ThinkPad Tablet 2 also has a optional support for pen input, NFC, a fingerprint reader, a dock that includes a keyboard, and LTE / HSPA+ connectivity. The company did not say when this tablet will be available on the market. Even, there is no details about pricing.
