More Tapered Edges And 8 Megapixel Camera In iPad 3

The design specifications of iPad 3 and becoming more and more known as we near the iPad 3 launch. While most of these are based on rumors, they do seem to reveal a lot about iPad 3. The latest dose of iPad 3 rumors state that the design of iPad 3 is such that the edges are much tapered as compared to iPad 2. Moreover, the camera in the back of the tablet seems quite different than that in iPad 2 and can well be an 8-megapixel camera.

These revelations have been made by Apple Daily. Apple Daily claims that it received photos of iPad 3’s back-panel from ‘special channels.’ The most significant aspect of these photos are that we can clearly that the edges on iPad 3  are more tapered than the edges in iPad 2. The result is that the camera in iPad 3 sits on the tapered edge.

The second most significant difference in the back panels of iPad 2 and iPad 3 is that the camera lens in iPad 3 is much larger than that in iPad 2. This is almost a confirmed indication that the resolution of the camera in iPad 3 will be higher than the camera of iPad 2. The current back camera in iPad 2 is 1 megapixel. But the analysts are saying that in iPad 3, the back camera may get a huge improvement and may be an 8 megapixel camera. These are still speculations based on the photo posted above. But then, we can confirm this within a few weeks once the tablet hits the shelves.
