Qwiki App For iPad, Download 500,000 Times In 7 Weeks

Qwiki for iPad, an application from the information experience startup by the same name, has surpassed 500,000 downloads in seven weeks.

“Compared to our web product, the Qwiki App for iPad presents a drastically improved user experience,” says Doug Imbruce, Qwiki’s founder and CEO. “As a result, user traffic from the Qwiki App quickly surpassed traffic to the Qwiki website, reinforcing our vision that Qwiki is a perfect medium for the post-PC era.”

The startup announced the milestone Thursday, adding that millions of Qwikis have been watched via the app since its launch in late April.
