Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is yet another nifty addition to the Android family. Thin, sleek and very light, the device runs smoothly on Android Honeycomb and has a fairly good battery life of about 9 hours.
The device was launched earlier this month and comes with a bundled contract of AT&T. With the best of Android as well as the best of hardware from Samsung, the device is a smooth tablet experience which goes on for 9 hours straight after a single recharge.
The goods:
Galaxy Tab 8.9 is very light compared to other tablets. It is nearly the same weight as Kindle Fire and weights a few ounces less than that nifty, thin iPad 2. The screen is very thin, yet very brilliant and bright, coming off as a really cool, user-friendly display. When it comes to performance, this tablet is a delight. It smoothly streams videos, plays music and supports a vast array of play-back formats. You can also multitask more easily with the help of TouchWiz UI which allows you to navigate easily to applications such as task manager, calender etc by simply touching the arrow at the bottom of the screen.
The bads:
The trade-off when you buy this device is that you can have this device – and that’s all. You can’t swap it’s battery with another model, you can’t extend the space through an external memory card – you just get to have the device like a stand-alone and that’s it. Moreover, the software, although very smooth otherwise, may be troublesome at a place or two – for instance, the youtube players sometime fails to load videos from web.
And finally, you get to have it bundled with an AT &T contract which is good news only for those who have been planning to move to AT & T. Nonetheless, in all, Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a very powerful device and is worth a purchase for sure.

This amazing device has wonderful bright and powerful display screen which is much thinner. It is really light in weight. I am much impressed with performance of Android’s Honeycomb OS.
