Many people run searches for their own names, or the names of people they know, on google.com. Last year, Christopher Viatafa, who resides in California did the same thing, but interestingly, he found himself in ‘most wanted’ list and surrendered to police!
Last year in August, Viatafa was at a private party at the San Leandro Senior Center when he got into an argument with some other partygoers. At then, he pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and fired a few rounds into the ground near the people. For this behave, he was thrown out of the party and he shot several more rounds in rage and left the place.
Later, police added the name of Christopher Viatafa into its ‘most wanted’ list. But 27-year-old Californian resident Christopher Viatafa had no idea about it. One day, he searched himself in Google and found that he was on Northern California’s ‘most wanted’ list. The very interesting thing is without thinking much or hiding for more days, he surrendered himself to police.
Last Saturday, police updated Viatafa listing from ‘most wanted’ to ‘captured fugitive‘. Later, San Leandro, Calif., Police said in a statement, “Although it wasn’t good judgment that landed him on the website, he did used good judgment to turn himself in after seeing his photo.”
Although no one was hurt in the alleged gunplay episode, but Viatafa is now facing charges of discharging a firearm toward an inhabited dwelling.
