Native iPad Support Finally Added To Amazon Cloud Drive Photos App

Amazon‘s Cloud Drive Photos app has been around for a while, primarily released for iPhone. Although it has been available for iPad, the tablet version hasn’t exactly been great. Amazon has thankfully updated the iPad version to offer a better experience.

Amazon Cloud Drive Photos app

Until now, the Cloud Drive Photos app allowed users to upload their photos to the cloud and then access them whenever they wanted. You need to have an Amazon account to start using the app which is available for free at the App Store.

The recent app update from Amazon is significant in two ways. First, it brings iPad support to the app. Previously, the iPad app was simply a scaled up version of the iPhone app. Amazon has now added significant support into the app to make it offer a good enough experience for the iOS tablet users. Moreover, the updated app comes with native support for iPad Mini too.

The second significant feature that has been added to the app is the ability to upload or download videos. Users can now upload or download files up to 2GB in size or 20 minutes in duration. This is certainly laudable since a single cloud storage account for both one’s photos and videos makes a lot of sense.
