It’s time for more updates. Microsoft has just released the OneNote 1.3. iOS app and while they were at it, added iPad support to it. On top of that, the long awaited Lync 2010 app has become available for download if you head on to the Windows Phone Marketplace. OneNote has been available through Office desktop for many years, since the release of Office 2003.
Just last year did Microsoft finally bring out a Web-app version of OneNote that requires a free Windows Live account in order to work. But this new app doesn’t seem to be as proficient as the other version but nevertheless lets you create notes containing text, checklists or embed photos. The sad news is that even if OneNote app is capable of running on all the iOS devices known to man, it is still not completely optimized for the iPad’s larger screen. It’s also available for download for free, but not for long, so hurry up. Recently, Microsoft has launched ExcelMashup, trying to improve the Excel experience.
Now moving on, to the Lync 2010 app for Windows Phone, this is a software that works on the iPhone, iPad and Android platforms alike. By using it, users get to entertain new IM conversation, check their contact’s online availability or join in a conference. But be advised that Lync 2010 requires the little help of Lync Server 2010 in order to work properly.
