China may be one of the powerful countries in the world but it is certainly number one country in terms of counterfeit. Now Apple is the new victim of their copycat. Recently an American blogger discovered three false Apple stores in Kunming city, China. The stores are so similar that it’s hard to differ with the original stores, even the employers also think that they are working under the US electronic giant Apple. What a shame!!!!!!!!
BirdAbroad, the blogger, lives in China. Few weeks ago, she & her husband found out the discrepancies while they thought it was real. It was exactly a beautiful ripoff according to the blogger. The sales executives wore the same T-shirt & ribbon around their neck like original Apple employees.
After passing some time, they figured out that the stairs were constructed poorly. Also they found some wall painting malfunction. Then she found the biggest mistakes by the store owner. She quoted, “Apple never writes “Apple Store” on it’s signs – it just puts up the glowing, iconic fruit.”
“You have already guessed the punchline, of course: this was a total Apple store ripoff. A beautiful ripoff – a brilliant one – the best ripoff store we had ever seen (and we see them every day). But some things were just not right: the stairs were poorly made. The walls hadn’t been painted properly.
The name tags around the necks of the friendly salespeople didn’t actually have names on them – just an Apple logo and the anonymous designation “Staff”. And of course, Apple’s own website will tell you that they only have a few stores in Beijing and Shanghai, opened only recently; Apple famously opens new stores painstakingly, presumably to assure impeccable standards and lots of customer demand.”
Upon curiosity, BirdAbroad inspected more. She talked to the salesmen. They think that they are working for Apple. Oh God!!! She found three same copycat stores. Further investigation by her unveils that those Apple stores are not recognized by Apple.
But she couldn’t trace the products source whether these are original or fake also. No mentionable action was taken so far by Apple. Where are you Steve Jobs?
