Apple has filed a patent for a new kind of convertible MacBook-iPad hybrid which has the capability of being charged wirelessly. Surprisingly, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook knocked down the idea of a convertible MacBook-iPad hybrid device earlier.
According to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the proposed patent is titled “Wireless display for electronic devices.” We have already seen both wireless display and charging technology in a number of mobile devices. Lenovo and Dell already have the kind of convertible laptops where the display itself can be removed from its base. And wireless charging capability is already seen in devices from Google, Samsung and Sony.
