Microsoft To End Free Xbox Music Streaming From Dec 1

For the time being, you can enjoy the free Xbox Music streaming, but the service will not be free so longer. Microsoft has announced that it will end free Xbox music streaming service that is currently available on Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and over the internet from December 1.

Microsoft hasn’t specify why it’s removing the free, ad-supported streaming option. Rather the company has uttered that it is ending this free feature to “focusing Xbox Music to deliver the ultimate music purchase and subscription service experience for our customers.” But Microsoft will continue to offer music streaming through its Xbox Music service, but paid.

Users may continue to view any playlists or collections they created using the free streaming feature, but they can’t listen to the music in those playlists or collections unless they purchase the music or an Xbox Music Pass. They will have to purchase an Xbox Music Pass at a monthly price of $9.99 to enjoy the Xbox Music service. By purchasing an Xbox Music Pass, the users will have access to all the music in their playlists, radio stations, collections, and catalog stored on their PC, Tablet, Xbox, phone, and the web.

It is to be noted here that users who have already purchased and downloaded songs will still be able to find them on their Windows PCs, tablets, and phones. For more details, hit the link below.
