Opera CEO Not Interested To Sell Opera To Facebook

After Facebook’s IPO and acquisition of instagram for $1 billion, a news has been published that Facebook wants to buy Opera browser for its upcoming phone. Lars Boilesen, CEO of Opera said that he is not interested in Facebook to take over. It can be said that Opera will be featured on a Facebook’s upcoming phone.

Boilesen said “This is not the first rumor about Opera. Our plan is too stay independent.” Opera is a successful mobile browsers and for this reasons, Facebook was interested to make it default browser. After the announcement of CEO, Opera will run independently like other browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Palemoon.

Boilesen also said “We work with all the major Internet companies, including Facebook, Twitter, Google”
