Robotic pets are a kind of kid stuff. Sony launched the AIBO robotic dog few years ago. People couldn’t afford that because that was a little bit costly. But, Japan’s new robotic dog decides to reveal its outlook and activities through most popular iPhone. The world’s third largest toy manufacturer Bandai has implemented this innovative crazy idea through iPhone. The robot dog can show its face with over 100 different facial animations. It’s really entertaining.
Bandai is trying to fuse the world of smartphones and virtual pets in a big way with their ‘smart pet’. This smart pet is none other than dog shape alike robotic dog. According to Japanese blog Macotakara, an app is downloaded in the iPhone or iPod. The dog show its face and facial expressions through iPhone 4 or 4S. Actually the display of the iPhone is dog’s head.
The dog has variety of sounds. It can recognize your face, voice and different gestures through front facing camera and app. The body of the dog is mechanical and the camera and head control the dog’s movement. It will be available on April 24 in Japan with a price of around ¥6,500 ($78). The free app will be available in the App Store to control your new iPhone touting robotic friend on March 31.
